Part #2 Encouragement, Advice, DON’T GIVE UP!!! Guitar Lessons for Beginners Acoustic
Go to yourguitarsage.com to find out how to get charts to 100s of songs!!! This guitar lesson vid is more of an encouraging, advice pep talk for any players out there that are getting discouraged. Check out yourguitarsage.com for info on the online instructional book about charts, chords, strumming and the techniques that I use here in my videos.. For more guitar lessons, see my other free tutorials. For original and cover music by me, Erich, go to www.myspace.com . Since I’m so busy making new video tutuorial lessons all the time and teaching guitar, I probably won’t have time to answer individual questions regarding guitar. Other videos cover beginner, advanced and intermediate levels. I teach rock, blues, country and just about any other style on electric or acoustic. If you can’t find your answer from the resources at the website above, keep digging into my vids, and I’m sure you will find your answer. Keep practicing!!!

i love how he is holding the guitar and his gestures indicate he is about to play a song…. but it never comes haha. reminds me of my dad playing guitar…stopping midway through a song, telling a story, then playing again

This would matter a lot more if that there weren’t prodigies and savants walking around practically mastering instruments overnight. If you want to play devastatingly intricate music, yet you aren’t looking to make it your sole purpose in life, then you will be struggling for a long time. There is nothing more frustrating to me than having a song, ripe with fascinating melodies and sounds, and not being able to play it because I haven’t been playing for 10+ years.

This is extremely good and down to earth advice.
Ive been playing guitar for over 35 years now and have had more than a few students myself, and this is very much the attitude ive been trying to teach them.
Maybe practicing on Your instument feels a lot like a task and hard work in the beginning, but the more dedicated You are and the more You get into it …. the more it becomes like meditation.

man..you’re so positive and nice…. a lot of guitar teachers are very egoistic and have a I-Know-everything-and -you- dont-know-anything attitude and are very mean. youre doing the teaching giving the best advice minus the hype and bullshit…thats a lot….love you….

hey dude when i strum with a pick it kinda exposes the small fretting mistakes i make as apposed to when i just strum with my hand, any advice? i’ve heard acoustics are less forgiving than electrics because of the pick-up coils correcting these slight things, is this why?

Hello ^^ first off I have to say that your videos have really helped me!
I was wondering if you had any advice on tuning my guitar by ear? My friends tried to teach me but it just ended up confusing me :/ when I practice it sounds strange to me and annoys me because the chords do not sound right :/ any advice?
